I'm cleaning up my links list and want to take my old RPGs off there, so I'm putting the links to them here for my future reference:

[livejournal.com profile] farfromgracerpg - I played Peter Pettigrew and Evangelos Rosier in Far From Grace. I applied for Peter on a whim, because I was tired of seeing Marauder-era games where Sirius, Remus, and James were taken and Peter was just mentioned in passing. I firmly believe Peter was truly their friend for years, and just a bit weak. I tried to make him a deeply flawed but still sympathetic character, and as he was struggling with his hidden attraction to men, he eventually became involved with Remus--a relationship that was, to a certain extent, Peter's salvation, even though he ended up losing it in the end.

[livejournal.com profile] culpaepatria - Sins of the Fathers, a post-war Harry Potter game where I played Remus Lupin, who was involved with Tonks for a while and then became involved with Snape after discovering he hadn't really been a traitor. This one was fun because Remus was the Alpha of the werewolves who had defected from Fenrir Greyback's pack. They had driven Greyback out, and Greyback ended up returning and challenging Lupin, who had to fight for supremacy.

[livejournal.com profile] rcsnupin - the Snape/Lupin archive from Ruat Coelum RPG, a post-HBP game which was sadly hosted at GreatestJournal. The game itself is lost, but the Snupin archive remains.

The RPG I was proudest of, Artifice, was also hosted on GreatestJournal, sadly. It was AU Harry Potter and featured a world where Grindelwald had taken over much of Europe, Africa, and India, and had made inroads into other parts of the world. There was a drastically altered world map, Muggles were, at least under Grindelwald, subjugated by the wizards. The only 'canon' characters we had were Orion and Regulus Black and Tom Riddle (who had not yet become Voldemort, as he was Grindelwald's second-in-command). It was all kinds of fun, and I miss it, and now we don't even have the archive. :(

I got my start in online RPG with Walpurgis Night, but that was hosted on GreatestJournal and nothing of that remains except the scenes I saved on my computer in Word format. LOL

And of course I continue in RPG with [livejournal.com profile] bau_rpg, which is in the Criminal Minds fandom and is, honestly, the best game I've ever had the privilege of playing in. I truly like every single player in this game and feel close to everyone. The writing is superb on all levels. The relationships are complicated and interesting. I have read every bit of every scene, which hasn't always been the case in games I've played (you know how it is, sometimes the only scenes you really find interesting are your own, and that's NOT the case in BAU RPG). We've just closed a major case (the Reaper/George Foyet) in [livejournal.com profile] bau_rpg and are entering some down time with Christmas parties and the like. We have a reading comm at [livejournal.com profile] bau_rpg_readers where players and non-players alike can post thoughts, commentary, questions, and discussion. And we're always open to applications for characters like Haley Brooks Hotchner, Sean Hotchner, Ambassador Prentiss, and other secondary characters.

This is a not-too-detailed summary, with links, of [livejournal.com profile] peter_ffg's story in [livejournal.com profile] farfromgracerpg, an AU Marauders-Era game. I've left out some subplot information, and my coverage of Remus' side of the story is a bit spotty, but I've already stayed up way too late doing this, and am about to fall asleep in my chair. Without further ado...

As the game begins early in November 1978, James Potter is tragically killed during a pick-up Quidditch match with his best friends, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. Although they don't know who did it, they know it is the Killing Curse, and that it therefore has to have been one of the Death Eaters. James is buried on 15 November.

A few days later, Peter goes to visit Remus for the first time since the funeral. Peter is struggling with guilt over having murdered one of his best friends at Voldemort's behest, and is also grieving for his best friend. He and Remus cry together and drink until they pass out.

The next week, Peter stops by the cottage Remus and Sirius share and finds Remus reading poetry. Not recognising Walt Whitman's name, he gets Remus to read it to him, and they discuss poetry. Peter finds himself attracted to Remus--a disturbing and frightening problem that has been cropping up from time to time lately--and suggests they go to a Diagon Alley pub for dinner.

On 2 December, the remaining Marauders + Lily get together to discuss what they can do to find out who killed James. Sirius decides to attempt to reinfiltrate his family. Peter attempts to dissuade him, not wanting to have to turn him in, but Lily sides with Sirius, and the matter is settled.

A week later, Remus stops by Scrivenshaft's, where Peter works, and they go to the Three Broomsticks. They rough-house a bit in the middle of Hogsmeade and find themselves blushing for no apparent reason. A few days later Peter invites Remus to dinner at his mum's house. More lovely UST ensues.

Lily invites everyone to a Christmas Party. Peter and Remus go shopping for Christmas presents and Peter accidentally outs himself to Remus following an embarrassing visit to the Adults Only room in Zonko's Joke Shop.

At the Order Christmas Party, Peter and Remus go outside for some fresh air and wind up trapped by magical mistletoe. Peter proceeds to drink himself stupid. (This is a comment-threaded scene.)

It takes Peter over a week, but on 3 January he finally goes to see Remus to face the consequences of Mistletoe. He and Remus clear up a few misunderstandings.

Y'all know I've been playing Peter Pettigrew in a Marauder's-era game since mid-November... Well, we're looking for some fresh blood! We have lots of characters available, good guys, bad guys, there's a great list. I'm having a blast, and the game isn't so fast-paced that you can't keep up, which is something I really like.

So without further ado, and before the thunderstorms kick me offline...

Available Characters I Cast I Application I Rules I Far From Grace

The Dark Lord Voldemort's rise to power has been whispered of in shadows and dark corners. Now he has gathered his faithful and is tired of biding his time. He will be great, he will be immortal. It is only a matter of time.

Or is it?

One man dies. A lover lost, a friend, an enemy. A son never to be born. One moment of betrayal and the future is changed forever.

Is the future already preordained and we but pawns along its path?  Or are we forever Far From Grace?

Far From Grace is a Livejournal-based alternate universe Harry Potter Marauders' Era Role Playing Game. It begins with the death of James Potter at the hands of Peter Pettigrew and explores how the world changes for his loved ones, friends, and enemies. It is a game intended for serious players interested in strong characterizations and character development, as well as involvement in plotting and story-lines.  We have been going strong since November 2007, have a great group of core players, and are looking to get a few fresh faces!

We would LOVE to have the following characters: Lucius Malfoy, Rodolphus Lestrange, Alice (would-be Longbottom), Frank Longbottom, Andromeda Tonks, and Ted Tonks! We also would really really love Alecto Carrow, Amycus Carrow, Molly Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Hestia Jones, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Antonin Dolohov ... the list goes on!

It's utterly incredible to me, but...I have a new addiction, and it is Peter Pettigrew. I'm RPing him in an AU First War-era game, and he's currently getting himself into entanglements with Rabastan Lestrange and Remus Lupin, and he's also getting himself into serious trouble as far as Death Eater involvement goes. But it's incredibly fun, I'm playing someone I've never played before, I'm writing ships I've never written before, and it makes me incredibly happy.

Of course, it will probably end in tears. This is Peter, after all. But wow! So much fun.

I am feeling icky. I've been suspecting my body of slowly giving in to a cold, but today either my kidneys decided to revolt or my stomach did. I haven't thrown up, but I've had a nasty ache in my abdomen. I'm drinking cranberry juice and hoping it goes away. For that matter, it hasn't hurt as bad for the past hour or so.

It snowed here over night, so the morning commute was fun. Only took 28 minutes longer than usual, though, which isn't too bad. I like riding with Dad; he's my morning chauffeur.

Finally, here is a manip that really probably means nothing to anyone but me and [livejournal.com profile] severity_softly, but I am pleased with it and want to show it off anyway.

Remus and Peter getting pissed together and posing for snapshots taken by the unskilled Mr Black, right this way. )
