Because I am just lousy at LJ these days years...

I've got a self-hosted occasional blog at my personal website. I've also got a Facebook page for my original fiction. I decided to copy my wifey severity_softly's idea and post here about them, especially since my second piece of fiction is releasing in ten days! :D

If you like pirates, thunderstorms, weather magic, assassins, sword-wielding princesses, gay princes, sailing ships, whales, intrigue, diplomacy, and stuff like that, you might like my writing. Stormsinger is a short (about 8500 words) that released last August. Stormshadow, releasing in ten days, is about 40,000 words. A third work, Stormseer is currently being written when I'm not flailing about doing stuff like final revisions, etc.

P.S. severity_softly, I think my novel would more properly be called lgbt-friendly, as opposed to your lgbt-centric novel in progress. ;)

Speaking of 800 words... 800_words had the big reveal today! Fics were posted anonymously on Monday, though honestly anyone who read them could have guessed which one was mine, just by pairing alone. *grin* I'll post a link in my next entry. There are twelve other fantastic fics at that community, and rather than listing any particular ones, I'll just tell you that all but one of those fics are 800 words, and the one that's 1600 words is WELL worth reading, even if it is twice as long. *grin* They're all Marauder-related, and I know a couple of Peter fans on my flist will really love a couple of them.

I've written Christmas Snupin fic. It's at my InsaneJournal.

As always my parents and I opened our presents tonight. I think they liked everything I gave them, and I know I absolutely LOVED what I got for Christmas. Several books, a writing box/lap desk, a Pirates of the Caribbean game, Order of the Phoenix on DVD, due South Season One, lots of little stocking stuffers, two travel mugs and a vacation journal (I wonder if Dad's trying to hint that I should take a trip? hee!) and then the BIG present--a Genius MousePen 8x6 tablet! I'd told him I wanted a small, basic tablet, nothing fancy or expensive, just something to make it easier to do banners, manips, and icons, and draw maps and things. And I got it! I'm so excited! I've been playing with it a little, though it's going to take time to get used to it.

I'm getting sleepy. killer_the_cat is coming down tomorrow afternoon, which will be fun. I should probably do a bit of cleaning in the morning. *grin* But for now, I think I'm off. I have new books to read!
