Earthquake!

We just had an earthquake! I was sitting down and Mom was in bed and Dad was in the garage, and I jumped up and ran out into the hallway and Merlin was flipping out, staring around him with wide eyes. It was actually a 5.4 magnitude with the epicenter in southern Illinois, about 200 miles away. Merlin is still freaked out fifteen minutes later.
That was the second earthquake I've ever felt here in Indiana.

Hope you're okay!

Date: 2008-04-18 11:51 pm (UTC)I'm from a town with an enormous grain processing place that explodes every half dozen years or so, so my first three guesses in order were "grain plant exploding again," "earthquake," and "Clinton nuclear power plant going up," and I kept going "please please pleeeeeease don't let it be the nuke plant..."
