Earthquake!

We just had an earthquake! I was sitting down and Mom was in bed and Dad was in the garage, and I jumped up and ran out into the hallway and Merlin was flipping out, staring around him with wide eyes. It was actually a 5.4 magnitude with the epicenter in southern Illinois, about 200 miles away. Merlin is still freaked out fifteen minutes later.

That was the second earthquake I've ever felt here in Indiana.

*grin* I was just excited to feel one. I'm fascinated by earthquakes, and I'd always wanted to feel one - and the first one I felt, I was sitting on my bed and heard a bang and felt a quick shudder, and thought someone had driven their car into the corner of our house. It was only by doing some digging that I realized it was an earthquake. This one was much more exciting because I realized before it was even over what it was. :D
