Worked this morning. Took Mom & Dad to get new cell phones. Ended up upgrading myself while I was at it. Yay for red phones. And now the parents are in the modern era with phones that take pictures. Woohoo! Went to Half-Price books with two boxes of stuff and left with Luck in the Shadows, Monster, and Season One of Six-Feet Under, PLUS $70 in cash that I didn't have before. It might help that I decided to downsize my Harry Potter collection so I don't have multiple copies of a few volumes. *G*

Played a little WoW, then our network randomly kicked off about 8 pm or so. The weather has been a bitch all evening. It's been incredibly windy, and though the sun was out today, and the temperature was at least a good 40 degrees warmer than yesterday (it would be hard to be COLDER than -20 not counting windchill on the way to work, in Indiana at least). There was actually some lightning according to my uncle. We got a call from him right before our network kicked off, and he asked if he could stay here tonight. He'd been an hour south of here to see the kids and was on his way home, which is an hour north of here, and had decided the road conditions were getting dodgy. We're always happy to see him, so he's here this evening. We had a fun-filled evening watching The Pacifier on TV and playing with our cell phones. Yes, we are that exciting.

Finally got back on the net, as you all can see. Just realized I didn't eat supper today. My lunch was very big, and I only got hungry about an hour ago. WTF body?

But for serious, you guys, I had a $90 offer from Half-Price Books! That just NEVER happens!

I have willpower like titanium! :D Actually they didn't have ANY of the books I was looking for aside from that one, so mostly it was luck. You know, it's hit or miss in used bookstores. LOL

Tehe... then I'm living in "middle ages " because I still have a mobile without a camera. I have no money for a new one and don't want a contract so I'll use my old mobile until it breaks down;)

LOL Well, if you're resisting it because you can't afford it, that's different. Dad was just resisting it because "I don't want a complicated phone!" It's all in the attitude. ;)

I'm glad you all got neat new cell phones and that it was at least a little bit warmer today. Bummer about the WOW server going down, but hopefully it'll be ok tomorrow

There are two or three locations in Indianapolis, and I love it. You can find a lot of out-of-print stuff there, and they buy everything from VHS & DVDs to CDs & vinyl to books & magazines. It's definitely a fun place to spend an hour or two. I've never made that much money there, though.

WoW is back - it seems to have been tied to our internet and power flickers. Apparently the town to our east was out of power entirely, so we're lucky we're on a different power co-op than they are!

Six Feet Under! I started watching season one, loved it so much I asked for the DVDs, got the first two seasons on DVD... and then never finished watching S1. *headdesk* LOVE the show, but I just totally got distracted and never got back to it. *headdesk*

i didn't know you played wow! i haven't in the last few months (i blame fandom) but i have a 70 (no longer an accomplishment i know *sad*) human mage on wildhammer and a piddly 34 belf mage on runetotem (who, when i get money, will be guildless because apparently everyone decided to hate me for taking time off)

LOL I haven't been playing as long as you, because I have a 52 Dwarven Hunter and 40 Human rogue on Malorne, and a few piddly Horde characters on Maiev. None of the Horde chars are over lvl 10 or so though, because my guild is Alliance. *G*

I played from November last year until August of this year. Then CM and RL clashed and keeping up with WoW became too tedious.

My roomie has an 80 hunter so if you ever need hunter advice, lemme know :)

LOL Yeah, I keep trying to play casters and then abandoning them before they get too far. I'm just not drawn to magic-users I guess...


PS - Don't tell severity_softly you play WoW or she will mock you as she does me and her husband. LOL

i have NO idea how i got to 70 on a PVP server. My 34 is on a PVE server... because i suck at life at PVP. I think my lifetime kills is something like 30. lmfao
