Okay, okay, I'm eating my words.  They freely acknowledged there aren't many families camping in November.  Though I beg to differ with the idea of the unsub hiking the trail every year.  For one thing, SOBOs (southbound AT hikers) don't typically start until June.  NOBOs (northbound hikers) begin in March or April.  The weather at the north end of the trail is pretty harsh.  Although since Pennsylvania is the midpoint of the AT, maybe he never hiked the entire trail.  I need to go back and see if they mentioned any points north of Penn.

But anyway.  Logistics aside, I thought the case kicked ass.  These were the creepiest of the creepy pedophiles we've ever seen on the show, as far as I'm concerned, and holy SHIT that kid!  The boy who played Robert was amazing.

I was expecting Hotch to crack a little more during this case though.  The father of the dead boy saying that he was his son's hero and he failed him?  Come on, Jack dressed up as Hotch for Halloween.  That's pretty blatant that Hotch is Jack's hero.  And Hotch probably still perceives himself as failing Jack because he "let" Haley die. :(

I'm a little tired of Morgan+Prentiss and Rossi+Reid.  Not to mention back in season two the woods were Prentiss' "second home" as I recall, and Rossi's introduction was hunting ducks, so really, those two should have been taking point together on this one.  I love Morgan, but since when does the city boy know that animals mark trees as high as they can?  *cough* [/end shipper]  But seriously, the team used to mix it up a lot more.

But OMG did I say this case freaking kicked ass?  Because it so did.  Let's have Kim Harrison write some more episodes.  Except with Rossi & Prentiss working together. *cough*
