I have no idea who made the kitten icon, so if you do, let me know. Watching this animation amuses me to no end. My cat is random and weird like this, though he doesn't chase bugs. I love having an icon that illustrates the weirdness of cats.

I picked this one up while working on an original fic challenge that was based on the elements. The element we were writing about at that time was water, obviously. And since I wanted to write something in my Regent's modern fantasy universe, I wanted an icon that had some sort of fae feeling to it. This one seemed to fit.

I've always loved this scene from "Someone's Watching" in season one of Criminal Minds, and when I saw this icon, I knew I had to have it. It's such a good summation of the canon relationship between Morgan and Reid at that point in time in the show.

This is from a photo shoot of some sort, and my dear wifey Severity made the icon. I LOVE the way Paget is holding on to Shemar, the sexy way her hand curls around his arm. This is the icon that made me start shipping Derek/Emily, and though you haven't seen the InnerSeverity fic yet, it's coming soon. :D

I made this icon when I realized that there are very few ships in Criminal Minds that I don't like. Emily's expression in the one frame is as much to illustrate my own feeling as anything. "What the heck, might as well ship everyone." :D tabiji was good enough to downsize the animation for me so it would fit within LJ's file size requirements.

So do you guys organize what you name your userpics? Because okay, I have 180 userpics, and it appears that 76 of those are Criminal Minds icons. So I have this weird way of organizing or prioritizing, really, my files on my computer and my playlists. If I want them to show up first on a list, I call them "1sample filename". Eventually I end up with lots of files that start with 1, so I start doing "_sample filename", and then "_1 sample filename". I do my userpics in generally the same way.

So my CM userpics are loosely organized where the general ones and the Morgan/Reid ones are "1cm - sample filename". Then some of the Hotch ones (both alone and shippy) ended up as "2cm - sample filename" because I had so many. Then I started gathering Emily icons, so those became "3cm - sample filename". Immediately after that, Rossi became "4cm - sample filename".

After the - I will sometimes use a ship designation like "m/reid" or "dm/sr" or "dr/ep" or something like that. But I'm inconsistent on that. Maybe tonight I'll go through and at least fix that. (BTW, am I the only one who sometimes types "fics" instead of "fix" and then catches it?)

But over a THIRD of my userpics are cm now! There has to be a different way of organizing them!

So help me out, people? Are any of the rest of you as OCD anal organized about this as I am?

I wish I knew who made this, but I've had it for much longer than I've known how to credit icons, I think. I've deleted it from my icons a couple of times, but it always comes back. I call this pink handgun even though the gun isn't pink at all. I guess to me it's just a very badass icon, and the hot pink adds a flair of woman without making it feminine. So to me this icon says "kickass woman". And if you know who made it, please let me know.



LOL thesnapelyone made this icon. It's from Recoil's spoken-song "Want". There's something awesome and dark and creepy and chilling and yet easy-to-identify-with about this song. Nori also made an icon from the line "I want to keep you alive so there is always the possibility of murder later". These are both great lines, but I have another icon about burning, so I had to pick this one.

I borrowed that movie years ago from gonzothegreat (back when we were dating, so, like, four years? yikes) and I absolutely loved this piece. And her face there--the joy and jubilation on her face--it's just gorgeous. Like she's been given everything she's ever hoped for.



Also by abrynne. Michael Keaton in Much Ado About Nothing. A fabulous play, though I confess, I usually hate the low-comedy portions of Shakespeare's plays. But the "I am an ass" sequence is too funny! And there are times when I need an icon that states that I am an ass.




Made by me. It was inkgeist who first called me a 'badass rock star by day and a fierce pirate by night'. I liked it so much that I appropriated it as my name, and then when I dressed as a pirate last year, I decided it must also be iconized.
