innerslytherin: (1cm - morgan/reid love)

LEFT IN A BASKET ON THE STEPS OF THE FBI!!!!!!! Oh, the Reid/Rossi love, it overwhelms.

Dave and Derek spent a lot of time floundering in this case. They were doing the best they could, I guess, but honestly, I was not excited about those interrogations until the Unsub called Derek "boy". Then it was fun watching the shit hit the fan. But I have to say...serial killers make the best profilers, and I do think the Unsub was onto something when he said Derek had something to prove. There's a big reason why Derek ended up where he is, and of course we all know it's Carl Buford. And Derek's final rant, telling the Unsub to "Be a man, for God's sake, be a father!" had some deep-seated roots in Derek's past with Carl and the way he lost his own dad.

Of course, Derek was lying when he said he didn't know what it was like to be in love with another man, and we all know that, too. *G* I mean, the way he leans over Reid at the computer in this very episode, hello, Obvious! :D

I love Hotch. The quiet way he calmed the wife when she hit her husband, the way he was in control and compassionate.

And I liked the way the episode started, in media res. Of course, given the time they later spent filling ineffectuatally in the interrogation room...that might have been a mistake.

However, the show did provide some lovely dramatic lighting on Rossi, and this lovely conversation:

[livejournal.com profile] severity_softly: Mmmm Rossi
[livejournal.com profile] severity_softly: *cough* sorry
[livejournal.com profile] innerslytherin: Mmmmmm.
[livejournal.com profile] severity_softly: There was lots of really lovely moody lighting on him in this episode. >.>

The "BITCH PLZ" look that Reid gave Morgan when asked if he was sure about what he was talking about at the beginning was PRICELESS. Much love and sniggers from me there.

But then it kinda stalled out, didn't it? :( I went back to doing my homework. *shame*

Yeah, Derek is a liar....unless this is set before he has been with Reid and is still thinking about it. So maybe he isn't so big a liar that his pants are on fire. Maybe.

And yes, Rossi is awesome, especially when lit dramatically. ^_^

Man, this ep. I couldn't decide if I was seeing Morgan/Reid because I'm trying to FIC IT, or because it was there. Ayup. It was there.

I love Hotch. The quiet way he calmed the wife when she hit her husband, the way he was in control and compassionate.

Yes, yes! I also fluffed the stuffing out of him for that, "How's that working for you?" Oh, HOTCH. *squishsquishsquish*

This episode was just made of the winz. I mean, it was a case-centric episode, so there wasn't a bunch of character-related info, but still ... the "I've never been in love with another man" comment was just SO AWESOME. Why? Because the person I was watching the episode with just turned to me and said, "Hm, I didn't know that Reid was a girl." :D

This episode was all about epic man-love. I think that it's appropriate that all of the character interactions were between same-sex characters (with the exception of Hotch and Prentiss, and there is NO LOOKING INTO THAT OMG). Seriously, there was Morgan/Reid, Rossi/Reid, Morgan/Rossi, UnSub/Morgan, Prentiss/Daughter, Reid/BAU, etc. IT WAS BARELY EVEN SUBTEXT!

Some shows have episodes that end on a moral lesson. CM, for example, already has a tradition of opening and closing the show with inspiring quotes. I would further suggest that they close every episode with Reid going home with a different member of the BAU, and in the next episode, bearing the marks of that evening that the characters proceed to comment on (and Reid blushes prettily in response to).

I think that the idea has potential. And every season needs to have at least one team orgy. ;)

OMG the 'left in a basket' comment had me giggling. And wanting someone to write that AU fic, 'cause that would just be awesome in its crackiness. Just don't think I could do it. :)

*g*

Left in a basket and Morgan's claim about never being in love did make me laugh. I'm not particularly a Morgan/Reid shipper, but I did giggle and think "liar".
