Found out just now that a former coworker of mine, who featured highly in my daydreams of the romantic variety, died of cancer this morning.  Apparently he'd had a lung removed a few years ago, but I hadn't heard anything about it at the time.  He was one of those bastards who makes smoking look sexy.  Drove an old dark blue Volvo, which is why I still have a soft spot for the boxy shape of Volvos to this day.  Gorgeous man, brilliant laugh, sexy smile.

Here's to Brad Terrell.

It always knocks me for a loop when I hear that kind of news. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of that (or near misses) going on lately with people I know.
