To my friends who want to remain spoiler-free, I suggest you turn off your notifications.  There appears to be a fucking bastard whose LJ name looks like a spoiler to me.  The asshole friended me, and I hadn't got my notifications turned off yet.  Thanks, asshole.  I hope someone makes your life miserable.

OK, that's a rhetorical question liberally scattered with profanity. I'm sorry. But it just makes me SO MAD that these arseholes have utterly RUINED the build-up to a major event like that. Honestly. I had been hoping for a wonderful week, filled with gleeful, excited squeeing and speculation, to feeling part of the hugeness that is fandom. But instead, they've sent everyone into hiding, so we're all lonely in our own little bubbles, determined not to be spoiled.

It stinks.

Isn't it awful? I did get a warning on my flist about this sort of thing and I did turn off notifications. I also turned off icons and I'm about to go and do the picture hiding as well. I'm just mad that we're the ones that have to take these measures, which makes our own internet leisure time more stressful.
