Phone-phobia

innerslytherinI hate being so phobic about phone conversations. I have been avoiding calls from Sallie Mae and Discover simply because I hate the phone. And today I phoned in an order to Jimmy John's, only to get a call a little later that I'm out of their delivery area because there's a new one closer. So I know I could call the new one...but that's another phone call I would have to make. I hate making phone calls. It took me about eight months to make a doctor's appointment to take care of a stupid little thing with my foot, because I didn't want to call the doctor's office.
I'm one of those people who loves automated attendants, as long as the menu options are clear, because it's easier to punch buttons than talk to a person on the phone. I'd much rather conduct business face-to-face than over the phone. I have no idea why. I seriously use my cell phone more for texting than anything. I have a family plan with five people on it, and we routinely LOSE about 600 expiring rollover minutes every month.
