Happy Birthday to lore!!!

Happy birthday to _lore!!!

I want to take a minute to tell you guys about my friend lore. When I first met her, I was intimidated by her, because she runs the lupin_snape community, and she does a great job of it. And to me, moderators of comms, especially those who are also BNF to me, are intimidating. But lore is a beautiful soul--encouraging, generous, kind-hearted, and sweet. She's also very capable of snarky remarks, not to mention she writes darn good Snupin, and that adds the perfect blend of spice to her sweetness. (*giggles and resists the urge to liken lore to pumpkin pie...though she would probably appreciate said comparison on several levels...*)

_lore is also the best beta-reader a girl could ask for. She catches undertones, sees places where more development is needed, isn't afraid to tell me if something sucks (but is nice enough not to say flat out that it sucks), and also fangirls people to just the right degree that even her criticism is coated in chocolate (chocolate helps with everything).

I could go on, but I'm sure she's writhing in an agony of shyness already and hating the fact that I've just spent an entire LJ entry waxing rhapsodic about her. That's okay, because I firmly believe she needs to know how much she is loved. ^__^

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORE!!!!!

Happy birthday to _lore!!!

Happy Halloween everyone! *throws chocolate confetti* I have also discovered it is miette_nichole's birthday. Happy birthday to you, miette_nichole!!!

Agh. I wore BPAL's Samhain today in honour of the holiday...and it reeks. It smelled all right in the bottle, but wearing it I smell like something died. Which I suppose is also symbolic of the holiday, but...ewww.

I am all congested today, which I fear is bad news for my general health. *sigh* I tried to hard not to get that cold everyone had for a while.

Dubh, the black kitten, actually came up to eat on the porch while I was reading there yesterday. Now, Mom's actually got to pet Dubh twice now, but for me, having her eating a foot away from me was an accomplishment. I don't spend as much time enticing the outdoor kitties because it makes me feel guilty that I'm not with my indoor kitty.

I was fixing Redemption tags and links, and realised that for _lore's birthday last year, I gave her installment 27. This is ridiculous. For a while there I was writing three or four installments a month, and now I'm down to 7 in a year?? This must be rectified. The good news on Redemption is that we are at installment 33, and I only had 100 prompts, and I used a couple of those on drabbles...which means I'm at least 1/3 of the way through the fic. *grin* Now, I'm not promising the fic is going to use all 100 prompts, but anyway, this is a milestone of some sort.

I need to go to town today to return DVDs and run a couple of errands. I really don't want to go to town.

OMG NaNoWriMo starts at midnight!!!! *flails* ads;lgihpoinawnka;sdlkg;p9!!!! I'm not ready!!!! *glances in panic at unfinished plotting, unanswered world-building questions, unfinished Snupin Santa fic*
