innerslytherin: (angst)
Anyone out there using a Blackjack? I have installed programs on it in the past using CAB files, and yet for some reason now that I'm trying to install a few more, the phone claims the CAB files aren't there. I can see them on the phone when it's connected to my computer. I can see the files on the phone when I do a search--but I can't OPEN the files, even when I find them via a search. I just added a 1G storage card, so I know it isn't a memory issue. This is driving me crazy, I can't seem to find an answer using Google, and the people at [livejournal.com profile] windowsmobile aren't responding to my request for help there.

*sigh*

[livejournal.com profile] pay_no_more is taking a headcount of people who don't intent to spend any more money at LJ. There are separate posts for free users, paid users, and permanent users. Go take a look.

I'm furious at my cell phone. I did a hard reset, losing all data stored on the phone (I had backed it up, but I still had to reprogram all that) and now, instead of being able to see my CAB files as I had hoped, I don't even fucking have Tetris on there, which I purchased from Cingular several months ago. Furious.

Went to see Stardust with Mom & Dad yesterday. Liked it a lot. Dad did, too. I had a feeling he would. He just laughed and laughed in many spots. He also kept remarking afterwards how pretty Claire Danes is. *snerk* Mom had a migraine and was generally snippy and hard to be around, though she did say "That was cute." Of course there are many words I would apply to the movie, like enchanting, charming, suspenseful, exciting, romantic...cute is not one of them. Neil Gaiman has a finely developed sense of the macabre, and while it isn't in play nearly as much in Stardust as it is in Neverwhere or the Endless books, it is still present. Septimus was gorgeous, though I kept thinking he was Richard Armitage and having to remind myself he wasn't. Robert Deniro FTW.

I have made almost $100 on my eBay auctions this week! OMG w00t! All four of my original items sold, and now I just have a TI-83 graphing calculator up for auction.

Did a bit of homework to discover that I have spent $430.75 at LJ over the past four years. Their data only goes back to April of 2003, so there is at least seven months of paid time added on to that total. Too bad for them that money will now be going to JournalFen, InsaneJournal, and whatever fandom site develops. I've let the paid time expire for [livejournal.com profile] carfiniel, [livejournal.com profile] remus_sotf, and [livejournal.com profile] 1978moony. I won't be sending virtual gifts to people anymore, sorry. I pretty much gave that up back in May, honestly.

Frodo the laptop has a new palmrest and a new LCD screen. As soon as the tech guy gets the part, he's going to have a new motherboard, too. Huzzah for extended warranties that include housecalls! I know a lot of people have had problems with Dell, but I'm very happy with the service and quality of product I've got from them.
