The great LJ strikeout
May. 30th, 2007 10:28 pmHmm. I've read some posts, and I'm still amazed. No offense to those of you who believed this would happen, but when I saw the rumours, I seriously thought There is no way this is going to happen. And then it did. I'm gobsmacked.
The thing is, I'm really sad about this because I LOVE LJ. I don't like the way they've responded to this, but I'm still crossing my fingers that they'll do right by the people who were illegitimately affected, ie FANDOM.
I'm a permanent account holder, and the last time there was an LJ scare (the Vox controversy, I believe) it all blew over. This is, to my mind, a bit more serious, because it involves CENSORSHIP, which to a writer and librarian is a dirty word.
I'm still hoping this will blow over with little in the way of wreckage.
But just in case, I've had http://innerslytherin.greatestjournal.com/ for ages now and never used it. This seems like a good time to let y'all know where to find me, if it becomes necessary.
*sigh*
I'm going to go bury myself in my RPG LJ now and hope it doesn't get deleted because the character is a bisexual and that might offend someone.
