Well, remember--this isn't the Hollywood version of the apocalypse--SPN is very Midwestern in the heart of the Winchesters. So that story kind of frames itself in the oil stains and tire marks. So what sort of Lucifer would be enticing to the Winchesters?
Plus, given his role in LOST--it's rather ironic.
Oh--and it's my opinion that he IS pretty enough. But that's just how I swing. *chuckles*
