Do you mean people who are having a conversation with each other, or people who are attempting to have a conversation with you? Because I hate it - HATE IT - when people talk to me when I'm trying to do my business. My husband does this all the time. And I'm like, "Can you NOT wait five minutes to ask me about random shit? Can you not see I'm trying to pee here?"
Both, actually, but what prompted this was people standing in the hall right outside the entrance to the restrooms, talking to each other. I always take longer than anyone else to pee, because I have a sort of phobia of public restrooms. So it bugs me.
Dude, I once had a participant in a research project follow me in to the bathroom to stand outside my stall door and ask me questions. People in this day and age have no freaking bathroom etiquette whatsoever!
I once read about a writers' conference where a writer followed an editor into the bathroom to pitch a story to her, and was shoving the manuscript under the stall doors.
And the people who TALK on their CELL PHONES while using the public restrooms? Also annoying.
People who stand in front of the elevators when the doors open and then try to get on the elevator before the people on the elevator get off the elevator.
People who walk down the sidewalk in groups who have to take up the entire sidewalk which means people behind them or coming towards them have to get out of the way, or slow down (because obviously they are going half the speed of the rest of the population) because they can't can't pass them.
My favoritest thing to do is to randomly flush the toilet if I hear someone on their cell phone.
I get annoyed with the people that talk around/in front of the bathroom, however, the cell phone users really piss (hardy harr) me off. I mean, really? You really can't wait 5 minutes to make a call?
And what makes you think that someone wants to listen to you do your business?
I can understand maybe answering and saying that you will be out in a moment and hanging up quickly (I do this sometimes when my mom calls to let me know that she's close to school), but I don't like it when someone has long, in depth, protracted conversations.
I do not understand groups of girls that insist on peeing together on nights out then spending ages in the bathroom disscussing whatever, not a good place people! Seriosly bathrooms = not cool.

I don't need to hear your baby mama drama.
