Thanks! Honestly, I hated her for what she did to Emily... but then I also loved watching her in the field, how she was a bitch, but also human, and how she slowly came to realize in that episode that she couldn't do what this team does.
So my theory from that moment had been that she had taken a hands-off approach to them from the moment she told Aaron he would never have her job and he replied that he didn't want it. That said, I was disappointed at first with the way she was treating him during the Foyet case...until Aaron revealed that he'd stepped down to make himself look weak. He played that so close to his chest, even Morgan was surprised...but I could see Strauss being a part of that, especially with the way she was at the end. Her words to Aaron when she was trying to reassure him that Haley didn't suffer... She is a bureaucrat and ambitious, but she's also human, and I thought Jayne Atkinson played that perfectly.
Anyway, long comment. LOL But thanks, I'm glad you liked this, and I'm glad you got what I was doing with Strauss. :)
