Another post from me! OMG
Warning: This post contains ranting and bad language fueled by two glasses of bourbon. Really damn good bourbon.
Seriously, there were actually peopled saddened by the cancellation of Criminal Minds: Stupid Bullshit? Color me astonished. As for me, I got an email from my best friend this morning, subject line "Hahahahahahahaha!" and message text, "Suspect Behavior got cancelled! Hahahahaha!" So that pretty much sums up my feelings.
And yes, I did actually watch it tonight. And it sucked even worse than I remembered. I thought Forrest Whitacker was a good actor? I mean, I liked him in Last King of Scotland. What happened, did he get aphasia since that movie? Coop's dialogue was comprised of entirely obvious statements and had...all...these...ridiculous...pauses...in it. Like that would make him more profound sounding? Um, no. Kick Coop to the curb and give me my Hotch.
Speaking of which, GIVE THOMAS GIBSON A FUCKING CONTRACT ALREADY, YOU DOUCHEBAGS! File this under CBS sucks.
Anyone else entirely underwhelmed by this episode? I know I've been saying for three years that I wanted a season finale that didn't have an OMGWTFBBQ cliffhanger, but this was seriously taking that to the ultimate opposite extreme. Also, JJ's reappearance (which I am celebrating, don't get me wrong) was entirely illogical. I mean, hello, the woman was FORCED out of the BAU to work for, well, um, either State Department or DoD, since we got different labels in different episodes. Either way, she was FORCED out, and suddenly she's just decided she's coming back, so it's all copacetic? And this in the same freaking episode that Hotch told the rest of the team there were budgetary issues? Oh, wait, I forgot, we're in CM-land. Logic has no place in our canon. *snort*
Really, though. If Prentiss doesn't come back, I'm done watching. If Hotch doesn't come back, I'll watch to the end of his storyline and then I'm done watching. So CBS had better get their fucking asses in gear and put the cast back the way it was. They can keep Seaver though. She's gaining her footing, and I adore Rachel Nichols, so I'm still witholding judgment on her.
Merlin kitty is still feeling very bad. He's not eating much and not drinking at all that I can tell. It doesn't help that I couldn't remember what a CC was last night when I gave him his first dose of antibiotics, so I didn't give him enough. But he's been very listless and limp all evening, and he has peed in two places that aren't his litterbox, which is 100% not his style. He'll poop where-the-fuck-ever these days, but he's only ONCE peed in an inappropriate place, and that was intentional when he was seriously ticked at me for some reason. I think I'd been gone for a few days. Anyway, he's incredibly miserable, and I am still not convinced that the end is not approaching. I'm alternating being at peace with that if it happens and being heartbroken over it.
:/ It might seem petty (not to mention hypocritical after all the F-bombs I've dropped already), but if you pray, please pray for my cat. I am childfree by choice, and he is my baby boy as much as anyone will ever be. I'm not one of those people who thinks that my cat should be treated like a human child by other people, but I definitely treat him that way, and I'm once again reminded of just how fucking hard it is to be a mom.

As far as I know, (and I might be wrong) Shemar Moore held out for (and got) $100,000 an episode, up from $50,000 an episode. For a 20-27 episode season, that's an insane and almost unconscionable amount of money, especially when you consider that he earns per episode what a public school teacher like me makes in THREE YEARS.
Yes, Shemar and all the CM guys and gals are fantastic and I love them and they deserve to be paid what they're worth. But holding out for MORE money when you're all ready getting paid huge-ass amounts of money in the first place just makes me mad. And it isn't just the people at CBS and other actors and actresses that do this that make me mad ... I can't stand that pro-athletes get paid SO STINKING MUCH, especially since they wouldn't be where they are in the first place without those coaches and teachers who helped them get there.
I guess it just pisses me off more when I hear that someone like Shemar (or Tom, if he is holding out for the money) who seems so awesome is holding out for more money just on principle. These guys make in one season at $50,000 an episode more than I'd expect to make in a decade.
Wow. I'm sorry. I kinda got on my soap box there when really all I wanted to know is why the hell Thom hasn't been given a contract yet. If he's holding out for more money, he needs to be spanked. (wink wink, nudge nudge). If CBS is being douchebags, then THEY need to be (and not in the way I just meant it for Thom!).
Sorry for soapboxing, chickadee.

I do agree with you 100% regarding the money. If we paid the real heroes in this world what they deserve, we'd be better off. Give the teachers and police officers and fire fighters those salaries instead of actors and athletes.

That needs to be an icon. *heh* And you're assuming that if TG doesn't get a contract, they'll bring him back. After all, Hotch was heading home, so he could have a car accident. But as you know, if TG goes, so do I.
That was the lamest season ender ever; halfway thru I was playing on my tumblr. Almost as boring as HAT. Re: JJ--I'll bet she did something super awesome that saved the world and has been given the choice of assignment. I have to say, she has very lovely legs. *G* That or Rossi has dirt on someone really, really high up to force them to give her back....
And I'm sure Prentiss will be back; after all, I would never get so lucky as to get rid of her forever. You know that! LOL
Yeah, no love lost re: CMSB--maybe Coop's heroes are Captain Sunglasses from CSI: Miami and/or Captain Kirk? *heh*
Again, hope your kitty gets better fast!

Merlin is breaking my heart right now. He's not doing well. :/ I don't even want to leave him alone to go to work tomorrow, let alone go on vacation in four days. This sucks. :(

I've been seriously underwhelmed by CM this year. I hope they find their footing quickly in the new season.

And thank you for the good wishes.

I am sorry he isn't doing well. I will pray for his comfort and peace and for yours.

No love loss for CM:SB. Never watched an episode. Never would have because of the BS CBS pulled. I feel bad that KV learned of the cancellation on Twitter though (really classy, again, CBS).
The CM finale was... okay... but you're right that it makes no sense to talk budget cuts and then have JJ announce that she's coming back, especially after she had been forced out. Oh CM, wherefore art thou logic?
*hugs and more good wishes for Merlin*

I had no idea KV learned about it on Twitter. Wow.
