There were times I wasn't sure what I was doing, and I will never again change horses mid-stream during November, but I have validated my novel!


In the course of validating, I always scramble my text, because I am an uber-paranoid nerd. It was so much fun seeing character names like that, I thought I would share the code-names of some of our favourite blokes: Sxvxyus Sqakx and Yxmus Zukiq (aka Muugy). I'm not sure what the squishy ship name for Zukiq/Sqakx would be, but it's a pairing for the ages. *grin*

Oh man, I finally actually went to bed around 10 (added a lot more to my word count though!) and got up at one point during the day to use the toilet, get some water, check my email, then I collapsed again until 6. And now I can't move my head. I must have slept wrong or something, but my neck is so bloody sore! I can turn my head, actually, because it's not the sort of pain that goes away if you hold still. No, lucky me, it's constant. Excedrin Back and Body, you are my friend.

But my word count is at 51811 now! *waves banner*

Woohoo! Another breakthrough tonight. Of course I'm not writing things in any kind of order, but still, it's good to get words out.

Realized I haven't updated this in a while. Saturday I did 2400 words, Sunday 2200, Monday 1000. Tuesday night (into Wednesday morning) was a good night, with about 6,000 words. Tonight I managed another 1650.

So I'm doing pretty well on NaNo, though it's been a strange month so far.

1,381 words today, not as much as I'd hoped, but I required pep talks from slightlyjillian, krycek_chick, and astraea36. Yes, I was needy today. Tomorrow I may take my laptop to Barnes & Noble just to make myself work on the bloody novel instead of surfing the net and stuff.

Things came together tonight. Suddenly the new direction I needed to take gelled, and I've got a plan again. I need to write out a lot more new plot cards, but I'm very pleased with my progress for the night, simply because I got unstuck.

And it is 4:18 am. I seriously did NOT mean to be up this late tonight. This morning. Er.

*sigh* I really would have liked to break 25k today, but hey, I got three loads of laundry done. And Merlin is eating solid food again and begging me to share my chicken with him, so all is normal in his world, huzzah. He is currently curled up on my Recliner of +2 Sleepiness, with his head in a donkey's butt. *snerk* No, seriously. He seems very content there.

I have sent my SnuSa to beta and am hoping it requires little editing. *g* We'll see.
