I'm going on vacation tomorrow. Planned with enthusiasm a long time ago, and yet, due mostly to losing Merlin, I don't think I've ever been utterly unexcited about a vacation as I am now.

But I'm packed. Do your worst, Montana, I have the clothes to keep from freezing or sweating. I have cowboy boots. I have notebooks to scribble in. I have AAA maps. I have antidepressants. I have my phone. I have money. That's all a girl needs.

Oh.

That and the bears:





Because no trip is complete without bears.

Of course no trip is complete without bears! We always have at least one with us when we go somewhere. And frequently come home with more because we see cute ones that remind us of our vacation. So I hope you and your bears have a wonderful vacation!

Our lodge last night had a bear on one of the beds as part of the decor. I wanted to steal it, but the best friend wouldn't let me. ;)

I've been doing pictures of the bears in all sorts of historic and scenic locations for at least two decades, so I think someone stole my idea for that one commercial. *G* I'm glad someone else does this though. It always embarrasses my best friend. *sigh*
