Saturday

Had a good day today. Mom and I drove up to Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area to see the sandhill cranes. At the height of fall migration (which is October) there are something like 30,000 sandhills there. Today there couldn't have been that many, but I'm guessing there were a few thousand. It was incredible how many of them there were, and how wonderfully noisy and gorgeous and awkward yet beautiful they were.

On the way home we stopped quickly at JC Penney, where I bought a pair of brown dress boots (I had JUST BARELY given up on the brown dress boots I've been wearing for at least 5 years), a black wool men's peacoat (because the women's didn't have inside pockets WTF?!), and a pair of Levi's (men's, because those also fit me better) for like $170 total. I'm incredibly happy that Black Friday sales now extend to Saturday. LOL I also got a couple of new nail polish colors because Sally Beauty is right next to Michael's, where Mom and I also stopped.

Of course, I have only gotten about 400 words written so far. You guys, I might not make NaNo this year. *sigh*

I battled my way through Black Friday and actually lived to tell the story long enough to go back after I'd rested up and shopped again in JC Penny's - who happened to have a name brand heavy wool trench coat that would normally be $250 marked down to $60, along with a blouse, skirt, and a sweater all for $116 and some change. Needless to say, I was pretty happy with the purchases. ;)

But, yes...it is pretty good that they've extended Black Friday prices to the next day. Glad you were able to get what you wanted.

YOU...not make Nano this year? Wow, that's a new one. That's okay, as long as you're writing for the CM boys I'm all good about that. :)

You were smart, I got up at the crack of dawn or well I should say never went to sleep and was in Old Navy by 3am shopping, from there mom and I ended up going to JC Penny to get the snow globe, then to Wal-Mart, then to Best Buy, then to Target. And, then it wasn't until that afternoon after I had come home and slept, that I went back to JC Penny's with the grandmother. lol. It was literally a full day of shopping for me. And, it was crazily insane,

There are not too many things that can beat finding a good pair of jeans and not having to pay through the nose for them. These days though, I am much more of a cyber Monday kinda girl. Malls and crowds are one of my major phobias......I can have panic attacks. Last year though I did get a $200 wool coat for my Dad for $89. That was pretty sweet.

Sorry about Nano, maybe next year. Of course there is still two more days to write your ass off.

Hurrah for new boots. I believe it is impossible to have too many pairs of boots. Pics?
