*g* Well, as [livejournal.com profile] thesnapelyone pointed out below, Chapter 2 of HBP gave us a different view of Snape than the one Harry's POV has always given. It shows a man who is suave, sophisticated, capable of being cordial as well as menacing. *swoons*
