Speaking of Austen and Napoleonic and seafaring stuff - have you read the Temeraire books by Naomi Novik? You might like 'em -- imagine the Napoleonic wars plus dragons for aviation. ^____^ juthwara and longstrider gave me the first one in the series for Christmas last weekend and I devoured the first one the first day and have gone on to acquire and devour the second and third since then -- okay I've just started #3, but still, I don't remember the last time I dug out enough free time to read more than one entire fiction book in under a week (and it was probably last Christmas at that)...
