This just wrote itself. Too much angsty pupfic this evening, I guess. They break my heart.
Title: Mistrust
Ship: Sirius/Remus
Characters: Sirius, Lily
100 words
“Don’t,” she says, her voice tight, and he glares at her.
”Lily, this is your life we’re talking about! Your life and Harry’s and James’!” he shouts. “Do you think I want to believe it?”
“But it’s your heart.” Her voice is soft now, and very quiet, and it cuts through the violent storm that is Sirius Black, and it breaks his heart. He bows his head and closes his eyes.
“It doesn’t matter. Not if—“
“Go find him, Sirius. We’ll be fine for one night on our own. Tell him.”
“I love him.”
She smiles sadly. “I know.”
