CM Season Five theory
Sounds like Shemar will be walking with a boot, and Gube's injury is explained, probably by him getting shot. Also, we apparently have a six-episode arc coming up with a Federal Marshal (played by D.B. Sweeney) involved. Now I could be wrong, but I think a major function of the US Marshals is to pursue fugitives, so I'm guessing the Foyet case is going to be a long, drawn-out one. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
My source is here: http://community.livejournal.com/gubler/96051.html and http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/08/04/criminal-minds-exclusive-d-b-sweeneys-on-the-case-for-six-episodes/

I really hope the Foyet case isnt a long, drawn out one. I have never been one for C. Thomas Howell except when he was Ponyboy....I wish someone with a bit more cunning and guile would have gotten the part then they could have "tortured" me with him all season. I hope its another case altogether, maybe an awesome two-parter but then the marshal stays on the fringes for future eps. Hmm, he might be good for Prentiss, I am already thinking fic and nothing has happened yet *rubs hands together in anticipation*

It's hard to say, maybe Foyet won't be a long drawn-out case, but here's my prediction: Hotch being injured badly and his life in the balance in the hospital while the team works with Federal Marshal Sweeney to catch Foyet. >.> Reid, of course, will be injured in the first episode and recovering but stubbornly refuse to stay off the case.
