Got my [livejournal.com profile] bau_bigbang solo-written fic submitted tonight. It's done, the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] resolucidity gave it the thumbs-up as far as not sucking, and I even titled it, hopefully well. *G*

22976 / 20000 words. 115% done!

As for the co-written [livejournal.com profile] innerslytherin/[livejournal.com profile] severity_softly fic... If I did a graph for it, it would look like this:

Cut so it won't screw up people's displays )

Got it first-drafted and submitted as well, though we have three scenes that need moderate revision.

*cough*

Now I think it's time for us to turn our attention back to the original stuff--finishing our cowritten novel, and me finishing my revision of my solo-written novel.

I've officially passed the word count, though the story itself isn't finished. Just wrapped up the case, but the pairing isn't totally cemented yet. My word count was helped tonight by sprints with [livejournal.com profile] severity_softly, as well as the fact that the internet was out for about an hour and a half for some reason.

Getting close! I have some final scenes to write, but the climax is finished, and I'm actually pretty happy with the way I figured out the resolution. Of course, I haven't done my printed copy read-through yet, so we'll see what I think of it once I've read the whole thing as a whole. I went back today and filled in a lot of stuff that I realized last night I needed, so I did a backwards, disjointed sort of writing.

Anyway.

Thanks to a mid-day breakthrough and [livejournal.com profile] severity_softly challenging me to 30-minute word sprints through the evening, I have made progress again!

17527 / 20000 words. 88% done!

I have Friday off work and am hoping to finish it by then, if I don't get the rough draft done tomorrow. Now the sheets in the dryer are buzzing, and tomorrow I'll post pictures of my brand new haircut.

Good night, all!

We had storms coming in last night, so I ended up having to get offline before I wanted to. Got another thousand words crammed in before I realized I was falling asleep at the computer. I ended up having to go back and edit a little bit this morning, but I'm pretty happy with the way things are coming together.

Now if I can just make it through the day at work without hurting anyone, everything will be good.

Things I want to do tonight or one night this week:
  • Work more on [livejournal.com profile] bau_bigbang fic
  • Finish cleaning my drinks cabinet
  • Change sheets
  • Exercise would be good
  • Make a new list of userpics and tags for my reference when doing email entries from work (I hate extraneous tags)
  • Go back and tag some entries that haven't been tagged
  • Find a home for those books currently stacked on my trunk/coffee table
  • Deal with that pile of things that needs to be stuck in a scrapbook
  • Find the website for that guy in Linden who does eBay consignment
  • --need to get rid of guitar, library science books, Dell docking station, and the Blackjack

In other news, my best friend has scored two VIP tickets to the New Kids on the Block concert Sunday night. Yes, folks, I am finally going to see NKOTB, only 20 years after I was the only girl I knew who hadn't been to a NKOTB concert. VIP BATHROOMS, YO! VIP PARKING PASS! I'm all about the VIP experience. Now if only I could score the same deal to a U2 concert.

I think that's all, which means I'll probably remember something else I wanted to post about or add to my to-do list just as soon as I hit "send". (Or actually CTRL+ENTER, but yanno.)

Thanks to storms that were rolling through when I first got home from work tonight, I got a lot more writing done on the [livejournal.com profile] bau_bigbang fic. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kyrdwyn I have started using Q10 for writing -- it's a full-screen word processor that has a running word count at the bottom and a timer you can set and even makes typewriter noises. Through the Q10 website I discovered Portable Apps and have been using that word processor while at work (because if I'm at work, I want to write unobtrusively, not full-screen). So anyway, got a lot of work done on that, and now I've reached the hard part of the fic. Yippee.

It's been a nice evening, though. I got home, ate dinner, then took the netbook and a glass of wine to bed with me. I expect I'll be going to sleep in the next hour and a half or so. And my head is feeling much better.

Tonight's wine: Grape Inspirations Savvy Green (apple wine)

Finally got started yesterday on my [livejournal.com profile] bau_bigbang fic. I've had a partial outline for about a week, but Morgan and Rossi are a recalcitrant couple to get together, so it took me a while to figure out how I was going to do it.

Got offline early last night and STILL didn't sleep well. Woke up with that same headache I've had for days. I think it's a combination of lack of sleep and the weather, but ugh. It's moved down into my neck, and that's just the worst.
